By joining Antrophia you agree to the following rules:
Update: Those who attempt to disrupt the integrity of the game, may be frozen at the discretion of Antrophia staff members, should this happen it will be completely up to the in-game staff to decide if you will be unfrozen in the future. If you believe this is the reason you have been frozen, you can email antrophia@rogers.com should you not know why you were frozen you can also send an email to the above and you will be given a responce, if no responce is given you can assume that you have been frozen for the reason above, therefore do not disrupt game integrity in any possible way, keep it a fun and safe environment for all players involved with the game, thanks!
1) JOINING THE GAME:
- 1.1 - You must provide correct information to Antrophia when requested. This includes a valid email address.
- 1.2 - Please choose an empire name carefully, see section 4.2.
2) MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS
- 2.1 - Multiple accounts ("multis") are NOT permitted.
Antrophia has a NO TOLERANCE policy on multiple accounts, and anyone proven to be playing on multiple accounts will be deleted. The rule is ONE account per IP address, and Antrophia employs a method of tracking IP's in order to find players who have created multiple accounts. Please keep this in mind, as people who play from public areas (such as schools, workplaces and internet cafes) are sometimes deleted under this rule. You should try to play Antrophia from an IP over which you have some control, such as your own home computer.
- 2.2 - If you already play an account, or someone in your household plays an account from the same computer or IP as you, you need to gain permission from the administration BEFORE opening further accounts (see also section 3).
If you are found to be using multiple accounts without having notified Antrophia staff, ALL suspected accounts will be reset.
- 2.3 - If you created a multiple account for any reason, or have multiple accounts logged in at the same time, you are required to notify Antrophia staff, and have extra accounts deleted.
- 2.4 - If you suspect a player of holding multiple accounts, please post their information (including evidence) in the Cheating Forum.
- 2.5 - You are not permitted to use or manage another member's account, or have someone else use or manage yours. This includes bots, scripts, and any other form of controlling your account while you are away.
3) MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS IN ONE HOUSEHOLD:
- 3.1 - If you have arranged with Antrophia staff to have more than one account from your IP/household, you agree to be bound by the following:
- 3.1.1 - You will not be in the same alliance as other accounts run from your household
- 3.1.2 - You will not transfer funds, or undersell minerals in order to transfer funds, to other accounts run from your household.
- 3.1.3 - You will not engage in any activity designed solely to aid other accounts played from your household.
4) INGAME BEHAVIOUR:
- 4.2.1 - Profiles - If you choose to place words in your profile, which are considered to be "profanities", "swear words" or etc, you will be given only one warning to remove it. Should you choose not to remove it, your account will become frozen for 24 hours or more, and it will be removed for you when time is availible to change it.
- 4.2.5 - Profiles Part 2 - Should you place insulting remarks directed towards any member of the antrophia community, you will again receive just one warning to remove it, and should you choose not to remove it, the same thing discussed in the above rule will occur.
- 4.2.9 - Profiles Part 3 - Should you repeatedly abuse the profile system by breaking the above rules your account stats for all games you are in will be reset, and your account will become frozen for one week, should you come back after that week and break a profile rule again, you will become frozen for the remainder of the games, and quite possibly for future games as well.
- 4.3 - Abusing bugs and errors within the Antrophia program is NOT permitted. This includes any loopholes you find which, if exploited, affect the continued integrity of the game. If you have discovered a bug/error/loophole you are obliged to file a bug report in the Antrophia Bugs & Problems forum to alert staff.
- 4.3.1 - If you are unsure of any of the rules outlined here, please clarify them with Antrophia staff before engaging in any activity which may be considered illegal or unfair play.
- 4.3.2 - If the Antrophia staff suspects you are exploiting a bug/error you will be sent an in-game message and a regular e-mail asking you to disclose information on the bug/error. You are given 48 hours to reply to this email. If you have not replied to the message within 48 hours your account may be deleted, without further notice.
- 4.4 - Spreading information about players, which is not obtainable by spies, to players outside your alliance is NOT permitted, as well as the distribution of battle results, since this can give insight into the troop stacking of Antrophia members.
5) ALLIANCES:
- 5.1 - An alliance can contain a set amount of players, depending on the game-type you are in.
If more than the set amount of players wish to join an alliance, the alliance leader may create ONE, and only one, sub-alliance, a "boot-camp". Sub-alliances are only permitted for recruiting new members, and can contain a maximum of 25% of the main alliance's power. If the boot-camp alliance grows over the 25% power mark for three consecutive days, both alliances will be disbanded.
- 5.2 - A sub-alliance is any alliance created under the banner of another, and being led by another alliance. Creating sub-alliances for any reason other than recruitment as outlined above, or creating more than one recruitment sub-alliance is illegal. Those alliances, including the parent alliance, will be disbanded.
- 5.3 - Please choose an appropriate alliance name. Names which are very similar cause problems with peace/war/LRC targetting, and it is in your best interest to create an alliance with as unique a name as you can. Offensive alliance names are NOT tolerated, and your alliance will be disbanded.
- 5.4 - Although we encourage team work to defeat your opponents, it is against the rules to break up your alliance to make "boot camps" or sub-alliances for the sole purpose of taking down an enemy. This practice is not acceptable and will lead to the resetting of your Antrophia account. There will be no discussion about this if you are found to use this practice.
- 5.5 - An alliance is not allowed to perform activities in exchange for anything. This includes but is not limited to declaring war on an alliance, building a Long Range Cannon, and hunting down players.
6) ADVERTISMENTS:
- 6.1 - This game is provided to you free of charge, so to cover running costs we charge advertisers to promote their product on our site.
7) FORUMS and HELP:
- 7.1 - There is an online help available by clicking the “Signal for Assistance” link. If these pages do not answer your problem, there are several member-created help-pages and manuals available; some URL’s are posted on the forums. The forums are located at http://forums.antrophia.com.
- 7.2 - Rules for membership to the Antrophia forums are available {insert URL here}. If you need to ask any questions regarding the game, the forums are the place to do so. Please check that your question hasn’t already been answered in previous discussions before posting your own.
8) OTHER:
- 8.1 Antrophia reserves the right to remove/delete/reset/suspend any account, without notice, if we have reasonable suspicion that you may be in breach of any of these rules. This includes deliberate attempts to circumvent these rules in any way.
- 8.2 - Antrophia reserves the right to add/remove/modify any of these rules at any time, without prior notice to its members.
- 8.3 - Antrophia regularly runs multi-sweeps during a round, and deletes accounts where there is reasonable evidence they are multi’s. Occassionally an innocent player is caught up in those sweeps. We apologise for the inconvenience caused if this does happen to you, but will not reset, or reinstate any account so affected. (see sections 2 and 3 regarding multiple accounts)
What is an IP?
Each computer on the Internet has at least one IP (Internet Protocol) address that uniquely identifies it from all other computers on the Internet at any one time. Computers use IP addresses to locate and talk to each other on the Internet, much the same way people use phone numbers to locate and talk to one another on the telephone. You IP address is assigned for you when you connect to your ISP, and may be constant (static) or may change each time you connect (dynamic).
If you wish to find out more about IP addresses, http://www.whatis.com is a great search resource, and can also give you a more thorough definition of static and dynamic addresses.
